Educational projects with schools: to ‘build’ an Ecomuseo

An ecomuseo (o museo diffuso), is not a mere

museum, as many may think; rather it is a pact

between the Citizens and their Territory intended

as an expression of:

• Landscape;

• Local economy;

• Natural, historical and cultural heritage;

• Gastronomy;

• Dialects;

• Museums.

‘An ecomuseo is the study of the territory and its

history carried out by the whole community

because the territory is the community’s identity.

The purpose is to preserve the territory and to

increase its value through tourism and various
