The Event
UMEED means hope, conceptualized by Jasmeet S Gandhi is an annual cycling event where a team rides 1000kms to raise awareness andfunds for a chosen cause
Udbhav school at Hyderabad, with 630+ students, is committed to provide holistic education to underprivileged children coming from urban slums, with focus on girl children.
9th to 18th December 2016 the UMEED 1000k team will ride from Mumbai to Hyderabadto raise awareness and fundsfor these underprivileged childrenwith focus on girl child

A cycling enthusiast, Jasmeet has been in the tech product and marketing space for over two decades. Worked in organizations like rediff.com, Nokia and Microsoft.
Passionate about supporting social cause especially in the areas of education and healthcare.
UMEED1000k Cyclothon concept designer, initiator & custodian to combine his passion for cycling and social cause
Active Rotarian and also runs Sneh Foundation which focuses on geriatric care
Raised over 2 Crore INR in the last two years to support various cause by organizing and participating in various social events

Track Record of UMEED1000k Cyclothon
November 2014 - Mumbai to Bangalore. In support of Iksha Foundation, Bangalore to provide for free surgeries to kids affected by eye cancer.(Retinoblastoma). Raised 2.5 million INR.
December 2015 - Mumbai to Delhi. In support of IIMPACT to provide free primary education to girl children in remote villages. Raised 13.7 million INR.
