Uses and Gratification Theory Developed by Blumler and Katz, it

suggests that the users look for a media that fulfils their four basic needs, these are:

Diversion; a need to escape from every day life and relax.

Personal Relationships; a need to feel part of a social group.

Personal Identity; a need to relate to the people portrayed.

Reflection on Research After doing my research, I have discovered several things

that I need to apply to my own work when I come to doing my own magazine;

When I do my front cover, I need to establish what the issue is about very quickly and clearly so to draw the reader in.

When I do my contents page, I need to make it easy to navigate so as not to alienate my audience.

When I do my double page spread; have a strong image and clear, neat text in columns so it make it easy to read and navigate.

After doing my audience research, I know I need to advertise things like free posters and/or offers for things like holidays of live music events to increase interest from my target audience.
