RefWorksAdding citations from websites(RefGrab-It)
RefWorks offers a tool called RefGrab-It to help you capture website information to use as a citation
NOTE: Accessing the NEW Display
• Once you log into your account, in the top right corner is a link for the new RefWorks- RefWorks 2.0
• Click on it to start using the new display
• RefWorks remembers which version (Classic or 2.0) you selected and will load that verison in future logins
• To switch back to the Classic version, click on the RefWorks Classic link in the upper right corner
Using RefGrab-It
• From the RefWorks menu, select Tools > RefGrab-It
Using RefGrab-It
• Follow the installation instructions for the RefGrab-It bookmarklet that are appropriate for your preferred browser.
Using RefGrab-It
• Find a website that contains information you wish to cite.
• Example: New York Times “Technology” pagehttp://www.nytimes.com
Using RefGrab-It
• Click on the RefGrab-It bookmarklet that you recently installed.
• RefWorks should have opened a new window that displays citation information for the website.
Using RefGrab-It
• Click on the Import to RefWorks button to add the information to your RefWorks account.

• RefWorks should open a new window with a confirmation message reporting your successful citation import.
Using RefGrab-It
• To view a brief entry of your citation, click on the View Last Imported button.

• To view specific details of your citation, click on the small magnifying glass icon.
