The Life of Jimmer
Many ways to find a job
• Some wiser than others.
• Some a little more familiar.
When you decide you want to work for a company, you do some research
to learn more about them.
In 2009, companies do researchto learn more about you.
Networking
Did you know that most positions are filled by referrals? And, many times this happens before a position is even posted to a job board.
What’s the best way to network today?
• Create an active digital footprint.
• Digital Footprints are traces left by someone's activity in a digital environment, online for example. There are two main classifications for digital footprints, passive and active. A passive digital footprint is created when data is collected about an action without any client activation, whereas active digital footprints are created when personal data is released deliberately by a user for the purpose of sharing information about oneself.
You want people talking about you.
