get the camera out of the cabinet

put the strap around your neck

take all pictures of finished artwork in the

back of the room using the lights and

easel

don’t forget to remove the lens cap

put it somewhere safe

slide the on/off switch to the on position

make sure the settings knob is set to shutter priority

tap on the shutter button to get the small

LCD screen to wake up

check that the white balance is set to

incandescent light (a small light bulb)

rotate the shutter speed wheel so that the

shutter speed is set to a minimum of 50

if your pictures come out blurry increase

the shutter speed

set your shutter speed by rotating this wheel

view finder

look through the view finder and line up

your artwork with the red guidelines

press the shutter button half-way to focus

and then all the way to take the picture

make sure your camera is parallel to your

artwork to avoid distortion

tap the play button to turn on the back screen and view your images
