Ground-based solar radiation monitoring Ground-based solar radiation monitoring stationstation
The IAP carries out research of the atmospheric optical phenomena, optical and microphysical properties of atmospheric aerosols, solar and atmosphere radiation within the spectral range from ultraviolet to far-infrared margin of spectrum, and the total column ozone content in an atmosphere.
In 2003 a ground-based monitoring station (unique in the region) was registered in the Global Atmosphere Watch Station Information System as a Regional fixed station in WMO RA VI – Europe.
Data on solar radiation and total column ozone are submitted to the AERONET, NASA/GSFC; SolRad-Net, NASA/GSFC; WOUDC; WRDC.

Theoretical physics and molecular Theoretical physics and molecular magnetismmagnetismMagnetic Anisotropy in the [CuIILTbIII(hfac)2]2 Single Molecule
Magnet: Experimental Study and Theoretical Modeling, J Phys Chem C 2009, 113, 8573
The proposed model describes simultaneously the dc susceptibility and INS spectra and explains on this basis the observed SMM behaviour of the [CuIILTbIII(hfac)2]2 cluster.
A highly anisotropic cobalt (II) based single chain magnet: exploration of spin-canting in an antiferromagnetic array, J Am Chem Soc 2008, 130, 14729
The developed quantum-mechanical approach represents the first attempt to explain by theory the Single Chain Magnet behaviour and spin-canting phenomenon in the zigzag-chain compound [Co(H2L)(H2O)]∞.
The model is applicable also to chains composed of other Kramers ions.
