David, A Civil Engineer Who Works With Government and His Sister Blessing Take Us To The School. They Want Us to See The Need. David Volunteers Time To Help The School Feeding Program.
The School Has 600 Students. A Teacher Started A School Feeding Program For 80 Students When She Saw That They Had Not Eaten Breakfast and Were Not Carrying A Lunch Pail.
As We Walk Across The Campus, We Are Pleased To See The Children Playing With A Real Soccer Ball.
These Girls Were Anxious For Me To Take Their Picture. Look At Them As They Put Their Arms Around Each Other
Women Are Hired To Prepare Wat and Injera Served At Lunch Time to the 80 Children. The Wat will have lentils and vegetables, injera is a spongy flat bread made from the millet-like grain known as teff.
Children Gather To Wash Their Hands. A Watering Can Is Used To Pour The Water.
Notice The Little Girl Has Her Bread and Tea as Blessing Looks On. Another Little Girl Has Her Lunch Pail. Don’t
Know About The Third Little Girl.
We Meet With Teachers and School Principal Who Have Prepared A Cost/Student/Day and /Month For The Feeding Program. The Cost To Operate This Program Is A Dollar A Day/Student. They Are Going To Have This Typed Out On School Letter Head And David Is Going To Pick It Up From The School Tomorrow.
We Gave Them Six Frisbees With Canada Written On Them.
They Invite Us On A Tour Of A Classroom. The
Grounds Are Nicely Kept.
They must Water The Plants
Because It is Very Dry.

Paintings Along The Hallway. This Is A Government School. The Children Do Not Pay School Fees.
This Classroom Is Really Impressive!
So, The Year Is 2009, not 2017 So We Are 8 Years Younger Than We Thought We Were. The Time Is Different in Ameraic
but we didn’t get into that!
