The nine areas of organisational operation

The seven technology enablers

Strategic Leadership: what do we have to do to demonstrate a leadership commitment to technology?

People and Culture: what do we have to do to ensure everyone values the role of technology?

Expertise and Skills: what do we have to do to maintain and develop our skills to exploit technology?

Technology: what do we have to do to ensure the necessary availability of technology?

Learning Content: is the development and management of learning content making the most of technology?

Information and Data: is the management of information and data making the most of technology?

Processes: does technology complement and support our processes?

Quick Review or Full Review? The Quick Review enables users to quickly skim across all nine areas by identifying the level of positive impact technology is having on each of these.

The Full Review enables the user to drill into these by looking at all the things that need to be in place for the effective use of technology.

It is envisaged that the typical approach to using the framework would be for the organisation to use the Quick Review to identify where they are weak and strong, and then the Full Review to drill into their key areas of interest, rather than all of them.
