Different Technologies

I have learnt a great deal about technologies while constructing my product. I have encountered several technologies during the creation of my product and coursework which has made me more creative in presenting my work in different ways. This has made my work much more effective as well as that I have learnt how to use these different technologies as well.

Blogger

Before my coursework I had no idea how to use blogger. I had preconceptions about what blogger could do and how I use it. I didn’t know you could embed images and videos to make your post much more interactive and effective to view. Due to making these discoveries most of my posts include some form of imagery to make it more interactive. This helps integrate visual imagery effortlessly. As well as that I found blogger to be user friendly which it’s contemporary e.g. Wordpress I don’t find it to be user friendly.

Scribd, Issuu and Slideshare

These websites have been very helpful in letting me present my work in different ways. Such as if I was to create a powerpoint presentation Slideshare made it easy for me to post it than embed it on my blog. Issuu let me publish my word documents perfectly as did Scribd. The programmes are highly user friendly and easy to use which made it perfect for me to use.

Photopeach

Photopeach is a website that allows people to make photo presentations. The website allowed me to present my behind the scene photos more creatively than just posting them up on my blog which would have looked unexciting. However by allowing me to make a photo presentation it automatically makes it more interesting to look at.

Editing Softwares

In order to use editing software's I started to use Windows Movie Maker in order to edit sequences together. This than transitioned into me using Adobe Premiere Pro via the help of tutorials I watched in school and on YouTube. Windows Movie Maker and Adobe Premiere Pro are two extremes when it comes to editing. I find to very hard when using Adobe Premiere Pro which was not user friendly at all compared to Windows Movie Maker which was quite user friendly. In order to cut on Adobe Premiere Pro I had to use special tools such as Razor Edge Tool where as in Windows Movie Maker I had to use no such tools and it was much more easier to grasp around. Editing to me before was just putting sequences together but I found the process much more complex and hard to execute. I learnt that editing is very lengthy but important tasks and many important skills can be learnt from it when the process is eventually learnt properly.
