In this section of my evaluation I am going to evaluate and explain what audience or potential audience would be interested in my magazine, I will evaluate what Age groups, Gender, Hobbies and what style of music I believe my audience will enjoy/ take part in and include within their daily lives to get a general picture of what I believe my audience and potential buyers of my magazine to be so I can generate an audience profile.

Also I will be evaluating the features I've included in my magazines to adapt it for my target audience.

AgeWhen developing my magazine cover I wanted to consider who would be my cover star of my cover as this is a one of the most important and key elements of my magazine cover, for my magazine I used a male artist aged 20 as this age is in-between my intended target audience so that my target audience will relate and connect with the main cover star.

Again, like the main cover star I wanted another artist to star/ feature within my magazine who was also within my intended target audience range (16-25 years old) so a relation can be created, generating a more enjoyable read.

I wanted to include festival information as when doing research for my audience research and researching festival age profiles and ranges most people who go to festivals are aged 16- 30 years old and therefore by including this information it becomes more interesting and informative for my audience to enjoy and be educated on.

When deciding my initial ideas I purposely adapted my price so its not expensive but can cover the price of publishing and so it is affordable for my audience to purchase.

GenderBy using both female and male artists to model for my magazine, I am instantly catering for my audience which is both males and females, by adapting my magazine for male and female audiences it instantly combats stereotypical views that rock/ indie music is for males, with growing populations and diverse cultures involving music more and more female audiences enjoy rock /indie music so bearing that in mind I have catered accordingly allowing varied audiences to read and enjoy my magazines.

By maintaining a colour scheme chosen by an overall results from my previous audience research, I have used what my audience wanted and their favourite colour so they can enjoy and notice that their favourite colours have been used in the magazine and not a series of colours, I have maintained my specific house style. Both the females and male audience who completed my magazine came to the conclusion that blue was the overall most favourite colour collecttively.

Hobbies/ Interests

By considering my miseen scene of my images I have incorporated a guitar within my cover to show and cater for the guitarists/ instrument players or for people who like guitars, into my cover so the audience can see, recognise and engage with the image and feel they can relate with the cover star and the objects within the image.

By including information about festivals, it caters for the festival lovers and people who enjoy going to festivals, the audience can be educated, look and read about the festivals and can instantly see that this magazine will be right for them as it caters for their needs.

AgeOn my contents pages I have again used the 19 and 20 year old male and female artists, being within the target audience age range, these artists can be easily relatable with the audience .

By having a young editor on the contents page, this gives the younger readers within my audience some kind of inspiration, a goal to follow and try to be accomplishing like the artists and editors of the magazine.

By including a Facebook and twitter fan base information the target audience are the most media influenced audience and rely on social networking highly, by adding this information the audience can relate, see the information and generate more advertisement of the magazine on social networking sights and broaden not only my magazine but the media products.

GenderBy using a male artists, it is remaining with the old stereotype with only men like rock music and also it broadens the males ratio of males reading rock/ indie music magazines. Also, by inputting malas within the magazine, the male readers will be able to see the male artists within my magazines as inspirations and someone to relate to resulting in a more

easy and educating read.

By using a female model with my magazine, it defeats any stereotypical view people have of females and rock music, it gives female readers more freedom of expression towards rock music and the music industry without feeling pushed out my male orientated rock/indie magazines currently within the media industry

Hobbies/ InterestsBy carefully considering the mise en scene of the images listed, and by including the guitar, instrument payers can easily see and relate to the artist in the image, they can relate their hobby with the artists profession.

By including a gig guide, the audience I'm aiming my magazine at, and the people who enjoy going to gigs will enjoy and be educated by this section of my magazine and be catered for their needs.
