Poster and DVD covers.

This is the poster and the DVD cover for the film Wolf’s creek, as you can see they both portray a great amount of fear immediately. They do this by saying that it is a true story on both the poster and the DVD cover, straight away this has an affect on the viewers and tempts them into watching the film. Both these two also show people in danger, or that something bad is happening to them, (being tortured). Both also include slogans that will catch the audiences attention, such as ‘how can you be found if no-one knows that you’re missing’, this is a great slogan that really makes the audience wonder. The DVD cover (on the right) shows that they are what seems to be a baron, deserted land where there is nobody to save them, again this increases the amount of danger. Also notice the date in which it was released, the 25th of December, Christmas day, which makes it even more strange.

Other Products.

These are two extra products released by the makers of Wolf’s Creek to try and increase their profit, on the left is an extended version of the film itself, which would appeal greatly to people who loved the original film, but it targets quite a niche market, but it would still help to make more money. The one on the right is the soundtracks for the film, this again will appeal to the hardcore fans of the film, but not to the wider market.
