WOMEN PORTRAITS
2º ESO
Woman With book This picture was painting in 1973 by
the painter Pablo Picasso.
The style of this picture is cubism, and
it is in the Norton Simon museum, in Pasadena,
CA (USA).
The woman of the picture is a middle aged
woman. I think she is 30 years old with long
straight hair and she is good looking. Her
eyes are very nice, her nose is very big but
her mouth is very small. She is a beautiful
woman. She isn’t very tall so she is medium
height and she is plump. The woman is very
quiet and very patient too. She loves silence
to read.
In the picture there is a middle aged
woman sitting on an armchair. She is
reading a book and she is leaning on her
right hand. She is wearing a long dress of
many colors (blue, white, violet, yellow…)
and a yellow and red necklace. Her
straight hair is green and white.
She is in a room with a mirror on the
purple wall.
I like this picture because I love cubism. I
think cubism is another way to see the
world. I also like it because it has got a lot
of colours.

painted this picture in 1860.
Its style is realism. It’s in the Museum of Orsay in París.It

This woman looks a sad, good person because her face

Her face is as pretty as a flower, and her skin is as soft
as cotton. She has got long straight hair. She has got it
up in a bun. It is darker than the coal. Her eyes are as
brown as the land and her eyebrows are as fine as
paper. Her nose is as small as a snowflake. Her lips are
as soft as a candy, and her cheeks are round as a circle.
She’s wearing a beautiful dress,it’s a white as snow, and
a black shawl as oil, a pink cloth as a Barbie, a white
flowers as a rabbit in the head.
I like this portrait because it has got a lot of colours and
a lot of imagination.

her big nose is quite long. Her lips are redder

clothes are more delicate than a flower.
There is a vase of roses in the center. She is in
a bar, with a lot of bottles. Behind her, there´s a
mirror, and there are a lot of people and lights.
