How to implement WP4

Selecting locations for the courses are crucial

• N2000 sites prefered! Various habitat types! Areas with HR capacity and visitor centre

• HU: Fertő-Hanság NP

• SI: Triglav NP / Solina NR

• IT: Majella NP

• FR: Les Cevennes / Vercors

• GR: ? (marine)

• local NGO partner?

We need to collect information about similar projects across Europe

• Europarc: Youth Ranger programme

• Wilderness Foundation UK: Duke of Edinburgh Award

Each course will have 6 units (organised in a week)

• Unit 1-4 classroom meetings

• needs assessment from PAs!!!

• Unit 5: conservation activity (one day out)

• Unit 6: game development (basics done on-site, but work might continue online!) http://gotomeeting.com

There are 4 outputs

• the 5 pilot courses organised in the countries

• five online mobile games (6 languages)

• online database with seniors’ stories

• report of the results (including evaluation questionnaires)

• why not using international groups

• web development must be simple (eg. Use Google drive to share/store docs)

• needs assessment from parks

• why having difference days for the 4 national partners (much less for HOS)

• possibility of sponsorship

• agree with the suggested locations?
