We hang our lives upon Your mercymeasured out in miles
Your boundaries and pathways,co-ordinates and charts
that guide our stepsalong roads You travelled before us
God, have mercy on me, a sinner
The Tax Collector’s Prayer
We will make time for You and Your Wordwe will practice Your ways until they are a part of
uswe will rest and play in You
we will be Your people
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Matthew 5:9
On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After
he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said,
“Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of anyone, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
John 20:19-23
Take some time to reflect on the passage, and in particular being a peacemaker.
Pray that you may be an agent of God’s peace.
Ask God to show you the places he is calling you to bring his peace.
Ask God to show you how you may bring his peace to your fieldwork and your community.
Lord, make us instruments of your peace,Where there is hatred, let us sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
We are not complete without one anotherwe cannot run the race alone
We will support one anotherencourage one another
wait for the weakpick up the fallen
through Your strength and love
When we are together we will remember what it is like to travel alone
when we are alone we will remember what it is like to travel together
wherever we are we will remember God who always goes with us
Go with us now, Lord, today and always
A final comfort.Great movements are born from
one solitary beat.
Peace.
End.
