Writing An Effective Ending That Makes Your Reader Feel Satisfied
In order to come up with a good essay paper, due attention should be given to writing all its parts.
Neglecting any one part might affect both the quality of the essay, and the way the reader feels after
reading it. Conclusions are as important as the introduction and the body of your essay, but are not very
easy to be written. After writing the body of the essay, some writers feel exhausted and that they have
got nothing more to write. Hence, they fail to put in much effort to make this section of their paper
enjoyable, and the quality of the whole essay gets affected by this.
An effective conclusion can be defined as the one that makes the reader feel satisfied, inspired, and
better informed after reading the essay. But the question is: how to write such an ending. Different
types of writings require different types of conclusions. But there are some general points that should
be kept in mind while writing all the types of endings. The first statement of your concluding paragraph
should be catchy enough to cause the reader to continue reading the rest of it. Your ending needs to be
clear, concise and to-the-point. Be careful not to make the quotations and statistics, which should
principally lie within the body of the paper, a part of its final paragraphs. Some students also make the
common mistake of introducing new ideas and arguments within the closing lines. Be mindful not to do
this as it might confuse the reader. These general points are to be taken care of while working on all the
types of writing assignments.
In case you are writing the ending of a research paper, it is very important to include certain points in
it. Here you are required to summarize the findings of your research paper. Mention your findings in the
context of the previous researches in that area and also point out the ways in which your research is
different. State the practical implications of your paper which will make the reader understand the
significance of your effort. Moreover, it is very important to discuss the limitations of your research and
the ways in which future researchers might address those limitations, hence suggesting directions for
further research. In some papers, all these points are included in different sections while in others, they
are all discussed together under the same heading. But not a single one of these points should be left
out if you wish to satisfy your reader.
