Manatees are beautiful and harmless creatures. Manatees are on the verge of extinction. I see that
manatees do not harm humans in any way, so why do we harm them? So look at this report by turning the page.
Introduction
Manatees top weight is 1587.573 KG’s (3500 pounds). Manatees have a tapered body type or round. Manatees can grow up to 2.4-‐4 meters long (8-‐14 feet long). Manatees have two fore limbs called flippers. Manatees have a paddle like tail.
Appearance
Manatees have a lot of different types of species like the Indian manatee and the south American manatee. There are two other species called sub species their names are the Florida manatee and the

Manatees from India are related to the elephant and the hyrax (small gopher sized mammal). There are only 5,000 manatees left on the planet!!! Wow. The Amazon manatee is related to the dugong and the Stella’s sea cow extinction 1768
Relations
Some people say manatees are meat eaters but they’re not, they eat herbs. Manatees eat all different types of food like algae, hydrilla and water celery. Manatees eat up to 10-‐15% of their weight each day.
Diet
Manatees live in a lot of places like Florida and India. Manatee can’t live under 60DF. Manatees live in India , Florida , Amazon and south America. The south American manatee lives all around south America even Belize.
Habitat
-‐ A manatee is from the Trichechidae family. -‐ The difference between a manatee and a dugong are manatees have a paddle tail and a dugong has a forked tail. -‐ A manatees top speed is 20mph. -‐ Manatees lung’s are two thirds of it’s size!!! Wow.
-‐ Manatees in India are illegal to kill.
