INTRODUCTION

• The definition of Total Quality Management terms by concept is described below:

• 1) Total: all organization components are involved in defining and knowing what the customer needs and expectations through cooperative or individual efforts to achieve the organization goals.

• 2) Quality: achieving higher expectations and desires of customers and consumers.

• 3) Management: development of the organization administrative chart, and capable leaders who are capable of continuous improvement and maintain a high level of quality

WHAT IS TQM??

• TQM is a management system

• A set with improvement tools useful in an organization

• TQM is a management philosophy

• TQM is a program for changes based on a company’s culture

Approaches

• TQM has five different approaches , which are:

• 1) In terms of excellent and high standards.

• 2) In terms of consistency

• 3) As a fitness for purpose

• 4) As a value for money through efficiency and effectiveness

• 5) As transformative in terms of qualitative change.

1.University College of Borås

• PROBLEM

• One of the primary objectives of this study is about an assessment of the quality work of the University College of Borås. In fact, the Committee for Evaluation and Self-assessment has specified this work in order to get an overall picture of the current quality work of university.

• During last two decades, the preservation of high quality and standards in education has become a major concern for higher education institutions and governments.

RESULT

• The demand for explicit quality evaluation and assurance processes has been increased rapidly.

• At the same time, the enormous funds, which governments assign to this sector, make it very important for those who manage education to ensure that education imparted in schools, universities and institutions of learning successfully.

2. King University Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

• PROBLOM

• 1) To explore the experiments, benefits and recommendation of TQM successful implementation in Saudi universities.

• 2) Identify best TQM practices to support the implementation of TQM concepts in the Saudi Arabia universities.

SOLUTION/RESULT

• The proposed model development which highlighted on the experiments of some Saudi universities to adopt and implement the TQM. Model elements

• 1) Plan: set up objectives and processes to deliver substantial results in accordance to the targets or goals.

• 2) Do: execute the plan and Collect data for analysis in the following steps.

• 3) Check: analyze and study the results.

• 4) Act: take action where to standardize or improvements the process

3.Abdul Aziz University

• PROBLEM• Abdul-Aziz University took the initiative to adopt

a quality theoretically and practically. So the quality was one of the basics of the strategic plan of the university, as the university has taken many developmental steps through the application of TQM to bring about a qualitative development to the duty cycle of the university, educational and administrative developments, and keep continues developments to achieve excellence in all processes in Abdul Aziz University.
