Chemical engineer

What is Chemical engineering?

Chemical engineering basically is applied chemistry. It is the branch of engineering concerned with the design, construction, and operation of machines and plants that perform chemical reactions to solve practical problems or make useful products.

What Is a Chemical Engineer?Like all engineers, chemical engineers use math, physics, and economics to solve technical problems. The difference between chemical engineers and other types of engineers is that they apply a knowledge of chemistry in addition to other engineering disciplines. Chemical engineers sometimes are called 'universal engineers' because their scientific and technical mastery is so broad.

What are the works of a chemical engineer?1-Convert Crude Oil to the Petroleum Products .2-Making Cement, Asphalt.3-Making useful Gases (Such as cooking gas) .4-Water treatment (drinking water) .5-Making Papers, Glass, Chemical substances, Polymer materials etc .6-Making Medical Drugs & Cosmetics .7-Making Nuclear energy, gunpowder, Rocket, Radar etc .8-Control of the processes programs.9-Making Plastic.10-Making milk & Tomato paste.. etc .

How can you be a good chemical engineer?1-You must be very well in math and engineering analysis.2-You must be proficient in computer programs.3-You must have an economic mind.4-You should not be lazy or careless.5-You should always take care of safety.

The main part of a chemical engineering course :-fluid mechanics-chemical thermodynamics-process control and dynamics-equipment design-reactor design-unit operation-heat transfer-mass transfer-material and energy balances-Plant Economics-Engineering Mathematics and analysis

Important programs of Chemical Engineering:-Word.-Power point.-Excel.-Aspen HYSYS.-Auto Cad.-MATLAB.-Maple.-polymath.

What are different between Chemical Engineering & Chemistry ?

What are the differences between petroleum engineers and chemical engineers?

Chemical engineers work with chemicals to make other chemicals by using chemical reactions and chemical processes.

Petroleum engineers don't work with petroleum to make other petroleum products. Actually, chemical engineers do that.
