EWB Domestic’s Mission

oEWB Domestic provides engineering services to local communities in Wisconsin

o Because these projects are based in Madison area everyone is able to help with implementation

o Hands-on engineering experience

o Faster project turnaround compared to other EWB subgroups

o Everyone can take part in all aspects of a project from planning to implementation.

Past Projects:Reflo Landscape Architecture Project

o Worked with Reflo, a company in Milwaukee that designs water-catching systems

o These systems help reduce runoff going into lakes and rivers

o Our partnership with Reflo has helped us find past and current projects

Past Projects

Heartland House Pergola with Auquablox

A pergola was designed to collect and store rain water for future use to water gardens

Design was never able to be implemented, but concept might be reused for future designs

Edible Landscapes Project, UW-Madison

• This project will be on campus!!

• Location:By the tennis courts

on lake shore next to Cole Hall

We hope to build a similar Pergola with aquablox to the one from the Heartland house to make this area fully self sustainable.

Leadership Opportunities

o Because this is a new project there are many opportunities for leadership in small groups

o Saphia --> France = co-project manager position open for upcoming semester

o Spice up that résumé!
