PS10 Tower technology
• PS10 was the world´s first tower technology solar
plant in commercial operation. It currently produces 11 MW to power 6.000 homes.
• PS10 has a thermal storage capacity for 45 minutes in four tanks. Storage allows for power production without solar radiation.

• The solar field consists of 624 heliostats with 120 m2
of mirrored surface. Each of them has a unique movement, tracking the sun.
PS20 Tower technology
• PS20 was the world´s second commercial tower
technology solar plant. It currently produces 20 MW, enough to power 12.000 homes.
• PS20 has a thermal storage capacity for 90 minutes approximately.

• PS20 solar field consists of 1.255 heliostats.
Molten salt tower
Abengoa Solar developed in the Solucar Complex an innovative receiver design, utilizing molten salt as heat transfer fluid. This design produces superheated steam at 540º C and 90 bars of pressure.
Solnova 1, 3 y 4 Parabolic trough technology
• Solnova 1, Solnova 3 and Solnova 4 are the first three
parabolic trough plants in commercial operation in the Solúcar Complex.
• Each plant, operating since mid-2010, produces 50 MW, with a production equivalent to that needed to power 26,000 households.
• Each plant prevents 31,400 tons of CO2 being released into the atmosphere each year.

In this technology, with more than 30 years of successful deployment worldwide, a set of mirrors mounted on a parabolic trough structure tracks the sun.

Sevilla PV is made up of low concentration modules with one or two mirrors enhancing solar radiation to increase the efficiency of the PV modules
Casaquemada PV PV technology
Casaquemada PV combines high concentration and conventional PV modules.
HCPV technology allows for every sun effectively received to be multiplied by two or as much as by 1.300 times.
R & D technology Solugas
Solugas is the first pilot solar hybrid gas turbine power plant at megawatt scale. This technology enables the introduction of thermal energy from the sun in the form of heated pressurized air into the gas turbine cycle. Solugas demonstrates the potential for cost reduction by introducing the solar energy into a Brayton cycle, with the possibility of implementation of higher efficiency combined cycles in solar thermal plants.
R & D technology SpaceTube
Abengoa Solar completed development of a large aperture parabolic trough collector. The SpaceTube® represents a new generation of trough collector that maximizes efficiency and offers significant cost reductions.
