1905: Establishment of OCA (Central Acetylene Office)

1909: First practical course on autogenous welding (France) 1930: Creation of the

École Supérieure de la Soudure Autogène (ESSA - Higher School of Autogenous Welding) 1946: Creation of the École Professionnelle de Soudure (EPS – Professional Welding School)

1959: First major pipeline testing campaigns in North Africa

2003: Inauguration of the “Joining and Materials” center in Yutz, combining research and training schools
