Fluid flow Simulation• The image shows the tilt flow
(tilt casting process).• This image shows the filled
percentage of 60.5% in the component. • The yellow colored part has
temperature of around 580 to 600 degree Celsius while the red colored part has the temperature of 665 to 720 degree Celsius.

• The image shows the COLD SHUT defect. • This is one of the flow-related
defects.• Cause for this is the difference in
temperature interface.• As is visible, the image shows
huge variation of temperatures in the marked region thus leading to cold shut defect.
