Led design team in development of new crew scheduling optimizer. Resulted in a savings of $150K/yr. in annual maintenance fees by moving crew optimization system in house.

Negotiated and managed the sale of over 20 corporate jets to individual buyers over a 3 year period with a value of more than $75M.

Directed project to convert aircraft optimization system from Windows to UNIX allowing for more robust solution sets and faster run times. This resulted in an annual savings of $2M in fuel and maintenance expenses due to more efficient scheduling.

Drove initiative to lower the number of flight crewmember work rotations, reducing annual airline/travel costs by $500K.

Director, Fleet Management & Operations Research Feb 2006 – Aug 2012 Managed a group of 13 analysts with a focus on operations cost reduction and efficiency. Position was highly

cross-functional with relationships across virtually all departments within the Flexjet organization as well as many Bombardier divisions outside of Flexjet. Reported directly to the VP of Operations and interfaced routinely with all members of the Flexjet Senior Management Team including the President.

Managed fleet of 80 corporate jets and 800 high net worth program participants by planning aircraft deliveries and disposals, flight crew resource levels and customer contract allocations on fractional program aircraft.

Provided input and support for companywide strategic planning initiatives as a member of the Flexjet Leadership Team, Flexjet Product Development Committee and Flexjet Fleet Planning Committee.

Directed team that maintained and enhanced optimization/scheduling systems. Responsible for financial planning and analysis functions for Flexjet Operations involving preparation and

submission of $300M operations budget including fuel, aircraft maintenance and operations overhead expenses. Analyzed P&L and presented budget and forecast variance explanations to Senior Management. Developed and implemented cost containment measures in cooperation with the various operations teams. Responsible for team that processed and evaluated operations invoices for accuracy and cost recovery. Provided periodic and ad hoc data reporting for entire Flexjet organization, including operations KPI reporting and

data mining through MSAccess and SQL Server, as well as aircraft inventory reporting for Flexjet Sales and Marketing groups.

Systems included optimizers for aircraft/crew “day of” scheduling as well as aircraft maintenance and crew vacation/work schedules.

Completed implementation of custom optimization system developed in coordination with GERAD - a research team consisting of PhD's, students and analysts from McGill University and The University of Montreal.

Developed complex operational models to forecast global flight activity of more than 60,000 annual flight hours distributed among five different aircraft/crew fleet types, five crew bases and multiple ownership levels and programs.

Established optimal flight crew and aircraft resource levels through the use of regression and normal distribution demand/capacity modeling.
