Satellites are more attractive option for internet.The Sky X gateway replaces TCP over satellite link.Enhance the performance of data transmission over

satellite directly, thereby web performance increases by 3 times.

The Sky X family consists of Sky X Gateway, Sky X Client and Sky X Server and the Sky X Oem products.

XR10, XH45, XH155 are the gateway models.SS10, SS45, SS155 are the gateway server.

Sky X Gateway Splits the TCP into three Components:1. TCP connection Between the Client andSky X gateway.2. An XTP connection Involves Sky X protocol over the Satellites between the two Sky XGateways.3. TCP connection betweenopposite Sky X Gateway and Server.

XTP is transport layer protocol design to operate over high speed network and provides high level performance to the End-Users.

XTP defines the delivering user data from one end system to one or more other end systems.

Each XTP implementation maintains the state of each of its communications. Well-defined packet structures, containing user data or control information, are exchanged in order to effect the user data transfer.

The collection of information comprising the XTP state at an end system is called a context. This information represents one instance of an active communication between two (or more) XTP endpoints.

XTP provides all the functionality of TCP and UDP.

XTP supports a reliable transport multicast capability.

Efficient Acknowledgment Algorithms: The Sky X Protocol utilizes a highly efficient selective retransmission algorithms for the acknowledgment of data.

Rate Control: Instead, the Sky X gateway uses a rate control mechanism to explicitly set the transmission rate to exactly the BW of the link, thereby providing the maximum throughput possible at all times.

It is very much the same as the Sky X with extra capabilities.

It optimize all TCP/IP traffic, basically the link itself.
