The glass exhibit will be on view until October 16, 2011 and is partially supported by the Ministry of Culture of Slovakia.

Slovakia presented its art and culture in such capacious format for the first time in the Middle East. Project "Slovak Glass&Fashion Fantasy" encompassed inspiring articles of artistic, decorative, and utility glass. Guests had an opportunity to view inimitable glass art collections by prominent Slovakian artists selected by Nova Gallery, Bratislava. The evening culminated with a fashion show by Nerocco Studio (Kristina Schreiberova and Eva Groh) from Bratislava and their glass inspired fashion and lifestyle designs showed by Slovakian beauties - finalists of the Miss Slovakia 2011 pageant. Soloists of the "Magic Spurs" formation, Miroslava Tuzinska, Peter Živner and Matus Krippel, performed a fusion of Slovak traditional folklore and modern dance followed by a ruffle, live auction, and an after-party with refreshments.

All proceeds from the evening were donated to the Plus421

Foundation to support diverse cultural programing and emerging

Slovakian artists.

The aim of this event was to expose influential audiences to the cultural, intellectual and social richness of Slovakia. The continued goal, through awareness, was embraced by creating opportunities for collaboration amongst artists, designers, and performers; ultimately prompting to explore and encourage innovative partnerships between leaders from various public and private sectors of Slovakia and Lebanon. The event organizers utilized this project also as a promotion of Slovakia's wonderful healing spas, especially the renowned Health Spa Piestany, and thus stimulate the influx of tourists from Middle East.
