The editing here represents spirituality as she is healing the dog who seems to be dead, furthermore the glow also seems to be smoky which again connotes spirituality, unworldliness and mysticism.

This split screen shows two separate scenes in what looks like one setting, the use of split screen is very effective as it allows the audience to become aware that the two individuals are going to coincide in some way. The fact that a close up of the males foot is shown suggests he is working towards Alicia who’s facial expression seems to say that she is aware that he is nearby.
