Frame 1: The first frame in the Legend teaser trailer shows the name of the production company that has made the film which is Studio Canal. This is a key shot to me within the trailer as it tells me who the movie was made by which then allows me to look at some of the previous movies that they have created to see if they are of any quality and if they have the expertise to make sure Legend is a good movie. Frame 2: The second frame in the teaser trailer is the logo of another production company that has made the film which is the famous and well known Working Title. This is a key shot to me as it tells me that the movie will then be distributed by Universal Pictures as they bought out Working Title and now they will ensure that Legend gets a wide release in cinemas and attracts audiences to the movie as it is a Universal commodity. Frame 3: The third frame is very important to me within the trailer as it establishes where the movie is set which is 1960’s London. This is a very key shot to me as from the start of the teaser trailer, they establish where the movie will be set which I believe is hugely important as it then entices the audience into the movie as they will want to see London in this era but also they will understand where the Kray twins built their empire. Frame 4: The fourth frame informs the audience of who will be directing this movie which is Brian Helgeland. This frame is very informative as it shows the audience that the movie is directed by a well known writer and director who has won an Academy Award which is also very clever to include in the teaser trailer as the audience will see that the movie is being made by a talented individual so they will want to see the movie in cinemas when it is released. Frame 5: The fifth frame leads on from the previous frame and it relates to one another as it gives us more of a backstory into the work of director Brian Helgeland. This frame gives us more information about the director as it highlights two of the films that he has wrote which is very effective being put in the teaser as these two movies were critically acclaimed so this then further adds to the excitement and intrigue of Legend. Frame 6: The sixth frame is the most important frame of the movie for me as it highlights and shows us the Kray Twins together who are both being played by Tom Hardy. This frame allows us to see both of the Kray brothers together in a shot which is very clever as due to Tom Hardy playing both roles, this will then interest the audience hugely as they will want to see how the director has made this happen. Frame 7: The seventh frame is the boldest and most in your face frame as we see the title of the movie which is Legend so this is presented to inform the audience of what the movie is called. This frame shows us the name of the movie which is Legend and this could refer to the Kray twins being regarded as Legends in their lifetimes so this could allude to the name of the movie being titled after what they accomplished and what they are seen as in this day and age. Frame 8: The eighth frame of the teaser trailer shows us the name of the actor who is portraying the main characters and protagonists of the movie who is Tom Hardy. This frame is very simple but also informative as it tells the audience the name of the actor who is playing the main characters and because Tom Hardy is a well known household name, this will then build intrigue for the movie as they will want to see the way he has played the Kray twins. Frame 9: The ninth frame of the teaser lastly informs the people who are watching the teaser trailer the release date of the movie which allows people to build excitement for the movie as they know when it will be released now. This frame tells the audience that the movie will be released on the 11th September so that they can then mark the date in the calendar but it also tells the audience that the movie is an Oscar contender as it will be released at the start of the Oscar season.
