Magazine Audience.

My magazine is targeted at a age group from 16-21. I feel there is a age gap inthe magazine industry, I think magazines are targeted at older people so I havedecided to fill the age gap. My magazine is targeted both male & female. Mytarget audience mostly shop at, JD, Office, Self-Fridges, Top man, Next &Dorothy Perkins and many more. They listen to R&B music artists such as; TreySongs, Usher, Akon, R-Kelly, Rihanna. Their favorite T.V programme would be,East enders, Friends, Holly oaks, Scrubs, Misfits & Inbetweeners. I believe mytarget audience would buy my music magazine because it has all the informationa teenager & young adults would like to read about e.g. current affairs withartist, latest albums coming up and 24/7 updates on their mobile to updatethem on gigs and events. What makes my music magazine different is that itmainly targets at the new artists to give them the extra boost they need andalso opportunities to the new talent out there.

Audience Attraction.• I conducted a questionnaire asking 20 students to find out information about my

target audience. By creating this questionnaire it enabled me to find out what the audience want to see in my new music magazine. I asked 20 students 9 males and 11 females it was balanced audience.

• This graph shows what the target audience would like to read about in the music magazine, they would like to read artist life style, film review & favorite artists by including all these elements this allows the music magazine to be interesting and popular. Page 4: Audience

I have chosen to use certain elements in order to fulfill the targetaudiences needs and to put myself in their shoes and see what they likeand love about magazines so my music magazine offers a free poster toreel in the audience and make sure they buy the magazine. Alsocompetition to make the target audience fight for the prize this willalso attract new audiences as they may know the answer and want towin. The audience feedback has allowed me to make the changes tomake my music magazine and fulfill the audiences needs

This is the free posterMy target audience receiveAlong with the double page spread.

Target Audience. My target audience is both male & females ages from 16-21 they are from the working class. My magazine costs £3.99 therefore its easily affordable as the target audience may not like to buy expensive magazines so this way it can be suitable for the audience to buy. Also the magazine consists of 200 pages which is a fairly decent amount of pages. My target audience is a young audience they may prefer reading things about new talent and new upcoming artists they would like to read about. My target audiences interest are shopping watching T.V writing books, having family time and going to gigs & events. They live an easy flexible life as many of the audience may be students or graduates from university and some may be urbanite city workers, who may love to read things whilst travelling.

Their clothing is smart and casual as they like to be presentable and love representing the community to look good. The way my music magazine may reach wider audience is by targeting the young people first and the older generation may want be wondering why isn't it targeted at them, but then surprise them by targeting the next issue at both young & old audiences so both audiences can demand more magazines to make it more popular another way I could make it a reach a older age is by including legend and classical artist they may know.

Representing Social GroupAs you can see the picture on the left is from the Vibe magazine I found on Google and I am comparing it with a picture that I have used in my magazine as a free poster which is part of my double page spread.

The similarities of both picture is that they have the same posture as they are both wearing rings on different fingers, and their heads are slightly tilted both shots are a medium long shot also both face expressions look similar, as though they are serious and want you to buy the magazine. The costumes they are both wearing relate to the genre (R&B) but the picture on the left relates more to the genre more than the picture on the right because Usher is wearing the clothes needed for the pose whereas my artist has more of a nerdy look which I should have considered when taking the picture also they are both wearing glasses Usher is wearing the cooler look whereas my artist is wearing the glasses that suggest I'm serious. The difference between both pictures is that the lightening looks darker on the left compared to the picture on the right this could tell how the artists may be feeling for e.g. Usher looks cool and ready cause mayhem whereas my model is just calm and relaxed
