The Questionnaire was really useful; as it allowed me to gather essential data that will be needed to help me produce an appropriate genre specific Music magazine. I created this questionnaire using www.SurveyMonkey.com in hope of gathering responses that would aid the process of creating my music magazine. This method of market research is very crucial as it will determine the decisions I make. In order to hopefully receive more responses I posted my questionnaire on my Twitter Account asking my followers to complete it. It was crucial to meet the needs of my potential target audiences; therefore their opinions and views were highly valued. In order to achieve a successful outcome and increase magazine sales, my music magazine will have to directly appeal to the consumers. I asked relevant questions, as the market research would determine what my music magazine would consist of  finding out what colour schemes would appeal to them as well as general music taste and interests. Initially, I plan to make the consumer feel involved in my music magazine, making them want to purchase my magazine therefore creating profit, in order for a printed magazine to survive.

I shall be using this as my magazine title as a result of this, also Dynamite is magazine title I favoured the most. Dynamite is associated with Explosives; linking to the idea that Dynamite magazine is big, loud reason why my magazine

will (adopt a chatty/informal tone), and fiery, All themes that I would associate with the Rnb & Hip Hop industry.

This is interesting as 60% of people that took part in my questionnaire would be interested in articles featuring Exclusive interviews and Music Concerts. I will ensure that I cover these to aspects when creating my music magazine as they are both evidently a mass interest.

70% of people would be willing to pay £2.99 for a music magazine; I need to take this into consideration to guarantee profitable sales. I think this is due to the people who I asked to carry out my magazine are mostly students therefore would be on a low income. The genre of my music magazine Rnb & Hip Hop targets mostly towards the urban youth, therefore I will need to charge £2-£3 for my music magazine in order to fulfil the readers’ personal needs.

70% of readers expect a monthly magazine release as opposed to weekly, I too agree with monthly magazine releases, being the most appropriate distribution for my music magazine. As it is known that distributing magazines monthly is the most cost effective as well as being more eco-friendly than weekly newspapers for example.

50% of people that carried out my questionnaire like the idea of having a black and purple colour scheme, however I feel that Black, white and red would be most effective with 40% agreeing with me, the colour scheme of black, white and red is very conventional associated with well established Rnb/ Hip Hop magazines such as the XXL magazine.
