Comedy and horror provide the beating heart of Big Talk’s slate, often overlapping and conspiring. The slate continues to broaden to include a wider range of stories that have the potential to move us, make us laugh, or scare us. We are talent driven. We want to work with directors of vision and writers with strong, unique voices. The future of Big Talk lies in continuing to work with the best of the UK and the US’s more experienced filmmakers, as well as constantly excavating and nurturing vibrant, emerging talent.

Big Talk’s credits include all of Edgar Wright’s films to date: ‘Shaun of the Dead’, ‘Hot Fuzz’, ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World’, and most recently ‘The World’s End’. We also produced Greg Mottola’s ‘Paul’, written by and starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost with Kristen Wiig. Joe Cornish’s debut feature ‘Attack the Block’ was released to critical acclaim in 2011, winning all four Audience Awards at Sitges, SXSW, the LAFF and Fantasia International Film Festival.

Big Talk’s black comedy ‘Sightseers’, directed by Ben Wheatley, had its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival 2012 with a Special Screening during Director’s Fortnight. It continues to be nominated and win awards internationally.2013 has seen psychological horror ‘In Fear’ have its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival. The film, directed and story by Jeremy Lovering, has since played at Frightfest, and will open in the UK on 15th November.

Next up is ‘Cuban Fury’, a dance comedy starring Nick Frost and directed by James Griffiths. Studiocanal have announced that the film will be released in cinemas across the UK & Ireland on 14th February 2014.
