Extreme close up

This extreme close up to the mouth shows that this is a serious and intense scene the darkness of the picture portrays that this character is doing a bad thing.

This shot shows the fierceness in the cats eyes, it looks like it is hunting a pray.

Medium

shot

This shot makes it seem like superman is looking to danger and that he is not afraid showing by his position. This camera angle shows that superman is just about to go into battle.

ot

In this scene as it has a long short it portrays that this is the ending of the film, their adventure is over.

Extreme long shot

This shot shows the start of the film, you can see the setting and a road which is shown like it is a long one like a start of a journey.

Track

This action shot is showing the front of the car in which you can see the actors face.

Pan

In this shot Panning is used to follow the car around the turning to show their either racing or traveling to a destination.

Tilt

In this shot tilt is used to look up this building to show how high it is or to show that someone is above it on the building. This is to just show the height from the lower ground to make the scene more dramatic.

Zoom

In this scene the zoom is used to show the importance of the video, zooming in on this gets the attention of the audience more to engage them.

Cut

This time of shot is/ can be used to show emphasize on emotion (certain parts of the body are shown) For example, hand movements/positions can show enthusiasm, agitation, nervousness, etc. in the scene.

Pace

The pace of the speed the scene is such as fast or slow motion to add the effects the film such as at the end of a race in a film right at the end of the race there is always a slow motions bit where it zooms in to who crosses the line first to make it more exciting and dramatic.

Performance

Performing act your best in front of a crowed or camera. Performing can associate with dancing, acting or singing.

Being able to perform will enable you to be called a performer, this is where you have a talent and re able to show your talent to others in such as a concert or show.

Diegetic

Diegetic means Things you can see the reason for the sound such as singing or people clapping. You can see the movement to expect the sound.

Non-Diegetic

Non-Diegetic means when you hear a sound but you don’t know why or where it has come from such as a gun shot when you are near the crime but can not see where it has come from.

Mise en scene IS everything that creates the visual world of the movie and its overall atmosphere!! Examples:

Setting, costume, figure expression, prop. Costume, make up. Framing, angles. Acting, expressions. Setting. Lighting, colour.

What is not in Mise en scene?

Sound, Music. Narration. Editing.
