• Covering a majority of social media platforms, Daft Punk is able to connect through a variety of ways with fans.

• Daftpunk.com is the groups official website which covers everything that has to do with them. The site allows you to stream music for free, there’s also an online shop were you can buy all sorts of merchandise related to Daft Punk. However, the site is not interactive, there’s no forum or message board for fans, which is only done through their Facebook page.

• Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter met in 1987 while studying at Secondary School.

• Early in the group’s career, the band members were influenced by groups including The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones.

• Through a ton of social media sites Daft Punk is able to engage their audience with up-to-date information regarding the band.

• These outlets allow for them to interact on a personal level although one social media site that is extremely useful which they do not use is Twitter.

• Twitter would update fans on the spot on their personal devices to hear what Daft Punk has to share.

Audience Engagement

• Daft Punk puts the word out immediately when it comes to concerts. Since they’ve been around for 20+ years they have grown quite a large audience and doing so advertising is covered in news papers, blogs, websites and on the streets with posters.

• Daft Punk has definitely found their target audience, because of their unique sound and covering a range of different genres they have been able to entrance a large population.

• Since they formed in 1993 they have consistently produced albums to please their audience. Their music is very original and keeps their audience engaged.

• Daft Punk has done a great job with connecting with their audience and sharing the most of what they can through various sources of social media.

• One thing that they can do is create an official Twitter account so they can inform their fans of anything new. Furthermore, they can interactive with their fans by doing Q&A’s to make their fans feel more welcomed to their community.

What Is Daft Punk Missing?

• Finally, one other thing each member can do is, open up a bit more about themselves, very little is known about them because they are always seen with costumes on. Very few photos of what they actually look like exist and opening up with bring them a little closer to their fan base/community.
