Crystal Springs: A Difference in the Family TreeChapter 1

Hello and welcome to my new challenge !I decided to try this challenge I found on BoolProp since it was a change of pace for me from my BACC addictions lol, so I hope you enjoy this and thanks for reading

GENERATION 1 – Your family was always into the farming deal. They spent their days working hard and asked for their children to do the same. So when you turned 18, your parents surprised you with your own plot of land to continue on tradition. And having always been one to impress the folks, you begin creating your own small garden, dedicating your time to that rather than dealing with a dreadful 9-to-5 suit and tie job.

So here is one of my favorite legacy founders - April Ivan.Stats -9/2/6/3/5 Virgo

She is a Family aspired sim who thinks a formal zombie is a turn on and detests if they are good at cleaning. Makes sense since she’s a neat freak and doesn’t want anyone cramping her style.

I’m trying to recreate the old house I gave her, so I outlined the house and added the five line plots for gardening.

I think there are 5 crops you can plant ?

Oh, I forgot to say that her LTW is to Reach her Golden Anniversary.

Not particularly something I like since I suck at parties, but it suits her generation so I can’t complain. Better than 20 lovers.

April wanted to study how to be a neat freak than she already was, before she started the garden, so I let her go for it.

That’s when Joe Graham, my BACC founder’s husband, arrived. I almost forgot he was a Garden Club member.

Maybe he could be April’s husband?

Nah, but I still miss him.

April went to greet him, then proceeded to plant her garden.

She only used one line plot out of the five.

So until she gets her bronze badge she will be planting 5 tomatoes, since I don’t want her spend unnecessarily and winter is coming.

The welcome wagon soon followed and I had her introduce herself to them.

April felt a lot better talking to Meadow Pederson than the others, who were busy mingling.

I think after this sit down they became friends.

The matchmaker, Jacqueline Ng, came by and April quickly greeted her so she can ask for a blind date.

Sadly I realized, April only has enough money to land her a lousy date.

Oh well.

And while April was befriending Meadow or the matchmaker, Danielle and Jason were busy having a water balloon fight.

And Danielle was mercilessly beating Jason.

I have to admit, I do love this interaction . LOL

You could sense the pain.

“Oww……”

And apparently, little miss matchmaker thinks it’s wise to kick the garbage can.

Matchmaker- The crystal ball told me to do it.

Joe was nice enough to pick it up.

As well as to throw away the excess garbage on the ground.

You see why I like him ?

April was trying to befriend everyone the best that she could, but she was to consumed reading her cook book.

So she left them be while she read.

Danielle wasn’t impressed.

She did make time for Meadow though, they had so much in common that it was easier to talk to her or even Joe.

She just didn’t understand the gothic behavior and preferences Jason and Danielle had.

April stumbled upon a cute stray named Grace, and she couldn’t help herself but to pet it. She wondered if she could adopt her one day ?

April played with the little one and the two clicked like Grace was already hers, both of them having a great time.

Look at that face. Doesn’t she look like she wants to be with April ?

April and Grace became friends and soon Grace strutted back off to the unknown.

Hopefully she’ll return for April to adopt her next time.

Twelve o’ clock hit and April was too tired to keep entertaining.

So she said her goodbyes to her neighbors and went to bed.

Morning came and April checked on her tomato plants to find it needed weeding .

The matchmaker called and April quickly hung up the phone.

How could she be friends with the woman who kicked her garbage for no reason?

Clearly she has some unresolved issues to sort out.

But April has been having a want to be friends with Jason. And since the fish in the springs are scarce, I surrendered.

April then met Leo Wilkie, who was passing by.

No bolts came so I sent him off.

Neil Cameron soon followed and still no bolts.

So I guess Jason will have to do since he’s April’s age range.

April called Jason the next morning, but she still showed no interest to him, even on the phone. She was beginning to wonder whether being friends with him was worth it?

She knew she had to accept him, she didn’t have much of a choice and time was running out.

She just wished something would click between them.

Tired of the repetition, I sent April to dig for treasure, in order to get a little money to pass by.

She only got some bones and rocks, as well as a map.

I guess that reading didn’t pay off.

Haha , April’s expression in this picture reminds me when my dad pulls the weeds from his garden and how pissed off he is when0 he sees it.

It’s like a never-ending war.

April finally gets her long deserved bronze gardening badge. Despite that Nature is not her OTH, she really does like her garden.

I mean, look at her dedication to ensure her plants safety?

April- “Stupid weeds.”

See? She loves it

April eventually became friends with Jason and invited him over. For some reason the initial feelings she had for Jason changed.

It was definitely different, better. And April, the shy sim that she is, took a leap of faith and confessed her strange feelings towards him.

Jason was flattered confessing he felt the same as well.

April’s wish had come true.

She began to autonomously flirt with him mustering all the courage she had in her, and Jason was more than happy to reciprocate.

Yet one action was taken too far for Jason’s fancy, due on my part.

So I allowed to let April run things from there and Jason was falling for her deeper than how she felt for him.

April found out it didn’t matter what they had in common or not. Whether it was her loneliness or desperation for a spouse, it was just the two of them.

And it felt right.

So April asked Jason to move in and he joined her with $19,000 !

Boy was she (and I) happy !

So welcome Jason Menon to the Ivan family. Jason preferred to watch his girlfriend than look at the camera apparently.

Stats – 6/5/8/3/3 Scorpio

He is Fortune aspiration sim whose OTH is Sports and likes blonde mechanics who doesn’t work.Like April, he thinks he could handle it so no need for his spouse to do it. Two of you would have been the perfect businessman and housewife couple.Jason – “Thank you.”You’re not getting that job.Jason= “Rats.”His LTW is to be a Business Tycoon which is only applicable to gen 2.Jason – “Not really.”I don’t care.

I renovated it a bit, but majority still looks like a cardboard box, and the way I want them to earn income is basically getting scraps.

Hopefully, that will change soon.

Here is the inside.The bedroom is completely furnished , and so is the kitchen except for the walls and floors.

I’ve added two bedrooms with a bath. As for the big space on the left half of it will be used as a living /study room and the other half (at least for this generation) will be nest/hut for raising chickens which will be seen next chapter.

I’m going to make them earn as much money as I can using farm related stuff.

April continues to tend after her plants, while the house was being renovated, and guaranteed with an angry expression with those pesky weeds. hehe

Jason called work to quit his job as a host, since the culinary career is for gen 13.

Jason – “Is there any job I CAN have?”

Yes but, I would prefer it to be farm related for the generation theme and since there isn’t….

Jason – “Ok ok, I get it already.“

I did let him give financial consulting though.

Since the rules for this generation is not to have premarital woohoo, I have decided to take it over a notch.

So poor Jason will have to sleep outside until he marries April in order to share the bed.

Jason quietly respected it.

It didn’t make it easier for him to get some sleep though, since Danielle decides to call Jason to chat.

She did raise his reputation just as he did for April a long time ago.

Jason then needed to use the bathroom badly which was occupied by April.

He didn’t give a rats about me forbidding him to enter and went on anyway.

Here is there first breakfast together after Jason moved in.

I decided to buy a flower arranging table for two reasons:-

One- winter is coming. April won’t be able to plant unless I build a greenhouse which she can’t afford right now.

Two- it will help Jason fulfill money wants and he could raise more money.

Keeping true to her code, April leaves her house, just as her garden, in meticulous condition.

This picture here shows that the couple finally fall in love with each other.

And no longer wanting to waste time, April proposes to Jason to start their life together, who happily accepts.

So with a quickie marriage, Jason Menon is now officially Jason Ivan, who briefly shares 2 bolts with his lovely bride.

And despite that it was only one night, Jason is finally able to sleep next to his love.

This is the third time I caught April thinking of adoption. So I think she will adopt and she will have a baby of her own as well.

Jason and April finally have their nuptial night since they were tired before.

After days taking care of her tomatoes, April wasn’t too pleased finding her ripe tomatoes ambushed by insects, therefore having to use insecticide on her tomatoes.

April- “Dang pesky bugs.”

At least she earned $528 and one batch for herself.

April pulled a want to have a baby, so Jason and her gave it a try only to find it futile.

Jason made some mac and cheese for the both of them, which he accidentally burnt.

April - *barfing*

Jason – “Unless you’re pregnant, don’t even think of throwing up that food.”

April- “Wasn’t planning on it, honey. It’s very… well cooked.”

April wanted to earn her bronze flower badge and since it was already winter, she made some flowers for now.

Jason on the other hand, is busy raising his logic skill to earn more income on his consulting.

And that’s all for now. Next time we’ll have chickens and hopefully a baby too.
