millie hind talks boys, gossip and her number1

Today at IT magazine we have Millie Hind, 17 years old and has a song called L8r, that’s

gone straight to number one after only being realised three hours on YouTube. She is a pop

sensation.

Hi, so your finally here at IT magazine, how are you?Hey, I’m so happy to be here!! Hopefully we will have lots of fun and I will be able to tell my story.So how you feeling about going straight to number one?It’s amazing it doesn’t even feel real; I know so many new artists say it but I feel like one day someone is just going to wake me up. I feel so blessed to be at the point I’m at right now I did not expect it at all. The song, L8r is amazing; I’ve had it one repeat for the past week, apparently Katy Perry has too, how do you feel about that?It’s unbelievable, I can’t believe it at all I actually can’t and the fact Katy Perry is listening to it, I just can’t get my head around it. When I put it on You-Tube I just thought it would be me and mam listen-ing to it and maybe a few friends from college but defiantly not 4 million people, not that I’m counting.

It wouldn’t surprise me if other celebrities werelistening to it eitherI didn’t even make the song for people to love it, I just made it because I like to make music and put it out there and if people like it and want to listen to it; it’s such an added bonus. Where did the name ‘l8r’ and why wrote in that way?I think it was just because at the end of a relationship you have to say bye to the person that you have been so close for so long and I think a lot of a relation-ship is done over text so the shorten version in text talk was a good way to say bye in a very light hearted way. I have had to come up with that meaning because I hadnt re-ally thought about it! Where did you find the inspiration to write this song because it is very ‘love-y’I think everyone has gone through life having feelings for someone and thinking there life can’t get any better than that period of time, so I think it just came

from the love and heartbreak I have gone through.How long did it take you to write the song?I have been writing songs all my life since I was so little, making up songs and getting my mam to sit and watch me sing. I have had this song written for years and it’s only now I put it out there. It just comes to me over time. How are you finding the celebrity life?

I think at the minute I’m really enjoying it; I like the fact that people want photos with me it’s really flattering. I really can’t complain. Have you read what’s in the media about you?Oh no what have they been saying? I really don’t look because I think the

purpose of my music is be-cause I enjoy it not because

I am begging for people to like me, if they don’t I can’t go around and change everyone’s opin-

ion no one likes everyone, it’s impossible I try to take all the good things in and push all the bad comments away. I actually don’t know anyone that has criticised you,

you have done so well for yourself, you should be proud. Thank you so much I really appreciate it, I’m so happy to be where I’m at right now. Any more songs on the horizon?At the minute I am writing and jotting down a few things but I feel like I have to top this track and by the looks of it it’s going to be hard! People love it so much.

Has your schedule got really busy since you went to number 1?Yes defiantly, it’s crazy how many people want to talk to me, I’m going on BBC Radio One next week, if someone told me that even two months ago I would of laughed in his or hers face. I say two months ago but even last week. What did you spend your first pay check on?I haven’t actually been given a pay check yet, but I have spent money like there’s no tomorrow. However I have been paying my mam back for all the money she has given me over the past 17 years, she has done everything for me and I love her so so much. She’s going to be happy that I have mentioned her

{laughs}Is there anyone that you would love to

do a song with?Ed Sheeran, a hundred and ten

percent. I love him, I’ve seen him in concert and just fell in love with him, I have all of his albums.
