The film is the directorial debut of both veteran actor, Eddie Jemison and Baton Rouge filmmaker and photographer, Sean Richardson. It has played to packed festival audiences and garnered many rave reviews. King of Herrings’ retro jazz score was composed by Chris Walden, whose credits include Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”, the 85th Oscars and Super Bowl XLVII. Synopsis: In this Stranger Than Paradise meets Swingers world, a group of small-time wannabes spend their days hanging out at coffee shops, playing poker and talking about women. Things get complicated though when Ditch (Eddie Jemison) loses his temper and sets in motion a chain of events that leads them all down a darkly comic path. The strange tug-of-war that ensues tests the boundaries of friendship, and leaves a mysterious woman looking for a way out. Eddie Jemison (co-director/actor) Born in New Orleans, Eddie acted in his first film, Schizopolis, opposite Steven Soderbergh. Since then he's acting credits include Oceans Eleven, Oceans Twelve, Oceans Thirteen, the Sundance favorite Waitress, Bruce Almighty, Soderbergh’s recent biopic, Behind the Candelabra and the much anticipated and soon to be released feature film, Veronica Mars. In addition, he’s been a regular on HBO’s highly regarded series Hung and FX’s Justified. Sean Richardson (co-director) While still a student at LSU, Sean Richardson began working in the film industry, climbing the ranks from grip to camera operator to directing his own films. His diverse experience as producer, writer, director, cinematographer, and editor for a variety of genres has contributed to his unique improvisational filmmaking style.
