Q1. What age group do you fall into?

• Two thirds of the responses were for the 14-17 age group. So the magazine has reached mainly my particular age group in question.

• One third of the responses were for the 18-21 age group. Older teens/young adults. This indicates that the magazine could perhaps reach an older generation of readers as well as young teenagers.

Age Group 14-17 66.7%

Age Group 18-21 33.3%

Age Group 21-24 0

Q2. What Gender are you?

• Two thirds of the responses were male whereas a third of the responses were female.

• This perhaps indicates more of a male interest in the magazine rather than a female interest, which also agrees with some of the comments left by some of the participants in the survey in a later question.

Male 66.7%

Female 33.3%

Q3. Does Reloaded Magazine appeal to your music genre/style?

• The majority of the response was that the magazine appeals to their desired music style.

• One comment suggested that they were not sure as to what the music genre of the magazine was, until they read through the contents as well as the front cover.

• A few comments mentioned that the way “The Peeping Toms” were presented on the cover, indicated they knew the music style without having to read on further.

Q4. Which gender do you think will be more interested in Reloaded Magazine?

• In an earlier question, the responses came mainly from males rather than females, but in this question, it is agreed that perhaps the magazine leans slightly towards a male interest.

• A few responses suggested it could be an interest to female or male readers. That would depend on that particular person’s style of music and whether or not they like, or are familiar with “The Peeping Toms” on the front cover.

Q5. Did the front cover draw your attention to the magazine?

• The majority of the results felt that the front cover gained their attention when first browsing the magazine project.

• Many participants felt that the large title and the blue background were quite effective together.

• A few responses were that some of the front cover was on some degree, plain. And that perhaps more effects could’ve been added to the main image.

Q6. How did you feel “The Peeping Toms” were presented in the magazine?

• Many responses were positive towards how they were presented, commenting on the fact that the band clearly represent a band back in “top form” after being in trouble in their own personal lives and deciding to reunite for the “fans and the love of the music.”

• Although some responses were positive towards the bands attitude and to an extent; confidence in the main image, others criticised that perhaps the front cover of the magazine focused to much on the band themselves and their personal lives rather than the music.

Q7. If you could change/add anything about the front cover for improvement, what would you

change/add?• Although responses were positive towards the front cover, many of the

participants added sensible comments regarding changes they would make to the front cover.

• Some examples were adding more coverlines, adding a pull quote from “The Peeping Toms,” perhaps adding a brighter background and making the colours more vibrant.

• One response suggested that a skyline could have been included, perhaps to offer/promote or advertise a particular aspect of the magazine.

• I should note that although I received sensible ideas for change, I also received some, perhaps immature results.

Q8. If you could change/add anything about the contents, what would you change/add?

• Many of the responses for the contents were positive, particularly the fact that it was a double page contents which the participants liked best.

• Some aspects about the contents were criticised, for example the colour of the text was mentioned as being slightly difficult to read against the background colour, and that maybe the colour of the text should have been lighter.

• One response compared the layout of the contents to the Double Page Spread, perhaps suggesting that the layout of the contents was not as organised as the DPS, and that the editor “Lydia” did not mention that she did not conduct the interview with the main band featured – “The Peeping Toms.”

Q9. If you could change/add anything about the DPS, what would you change/add?

• Many of the responses commented on the successful nature of the layout of the DPS, only a few changes were suggested.

• The change that appeared in many responses was the colour of the font, which some of the survey participants found a little difficult to read.

• Another main change that many of the participants suggested was the fact that the article tends to focus more on the band members’ personal lives rather than the music. One response in particular suggested adding a section into the interview about the comeback album for the band, in order to get the fans excited about their return to music.

• On a lighter note, some of the responses said that nothing needed to be changed, and that the Double Page Spread was well received compared with the other components of the magazine.

Q10. Is £3.10 a suitable price for this magazine? If not, what would you suggest?

• As you can see by the results, the price was not well received by the survey respondents.

• A few comments were added, suggesting prices such as £2.00 or £2.50, the latter being a maximum price.

• One comment suggested perhaps paying more for the magazine, as long as free merchandise was added etc.
