Do The Lyrics And The Visuals Relate?

• The lyrics relate to the visuals within our video as the lyrics are talking about someone who has recently become a celebrity and how they are already wanting to shy away from the cameras and everything already but the media wont let them so in the video we have the visuals of a young woman trying to get away from the camera but she cant because no matter where she goes or where she looks there is always someone their watching her.

Do The Music And Visuals Relate?

• In a way the music and the visuals within our song do relate as the colours that we have emphasised in the video is a dull red into more of a bright red and this relates as the music is quite up beat and fast paced so if we had of used dull colours they wouldn’t of necessarily matched the beat of the song. Also we have a lot of cut within our video and these are also timed to the beat of the drum witch also give the song more of a relation to the visuals as well.

Intertextuality

• Within our video there is no strong reference to other music video’s that the audience may have already seen although we did use some other music video’s in order to get inspiration for our own but I don’t feel that any of the techniques used in them were directly used within our music video.

Narrative And Performance

• Within our music video there is a mixture of both narrative and live performance. There is live performance of the band playing within the chorus of the song and this is also in colour. Then for the verses we chose to use narrative as we felt that this was a good way of showing the relationship between the lyrics and the visuals while also at the same time having the live performance within the video gives the audience a chance to relate to the band.

Representations

• Within our video we have given the band a representation of being chilled and laid back while also at the same time fun and funky. This will help the audience to be able to form a relationship with the band and also relate to the band more than what they would have been able to we had portrayed the band as being stuck up and not caring about their audience.
