Our story began in 1960, within a small storeroom on the Italian Riveria. With little more than a passion to create great gelato and the desire to share it with the world, Luigi Panero planted the seed to what has grown to be a flourishing chain of gelaterias in India.

Luigi had dedicated the greater part of his life to innovating and improving his craft. His 45 years of commitment to authenticity was recognized in 2006 when the prestigious honour of, “Gelatiere of the Year”, was conferred upon him by the Association of Italian Gelatiere.

It is our privilege to build on Luigi’s values and traditional approach to the art of making gelato. We take great pride in upholding these standards with each and every batch of gelato that is served.

We do it for the same reason Luigi did it… because we love it!

Amore introduced the concept of Gelato to Mumbai (2006) and has since grown to over 24 outlets throughout India. After we opened our doors in March 06, Amore has consistently been setting the standard on product quality and customer service.

By catering to the sophisticated, discerning consumer who are health conscious and appreciate quality we have carved out a unique niche for ourselves. Unlike other brands, we have concentrated on consistently delivering a fresh product with 100% natural ingredients and friendly service.

Our effort has been rewarded and our attention to detail has been recognized. Not just locally but Internationally as well, where Amore has won 3 special prizes for our innovation and quality in Italy at SIGEP, the International Gelato Competitions (SIGEP 2007 & 2008).

When the founders of Amore got together, we wanted to do more than just start a business, it was our desire to build a brand one brick at a time while imprinting our values into the fabric of the company.
