DESCRIPTION
Urban Fantasy Comic by Rich Douek
Citation preview
Welcome to Meridian. You would have called it New York. Then again, your ancestors might have called it
New Amsterdam. The point is, things change. When the Magi got involved in World War II,
they changed big time. Dragons raked the beaches of Normandy with unquenchable fire.
Elvish arrows sent Messerschmitts spiraling down in flames over the English Channel.
Casting off the pact of secrecy that had held their feuds in check for millenia, the Magi’s
war ground on for decades, unleashing forces so far beyond their control that they nearly
brought about the end of everything. Across the world, refugees huddled around the surviving
cabals, looking to them as the only source of protection against the horrors that roamed the
earth. Over time, cities were rebuilt. The wilderness was pushed back, the nightmares driven
away. Now, 50 years after the last shot, of the last war, Meridian is once again the greatest
city in the world. A place where anything is possible. A place where magic happens.
