How to Change A Light bulb
So many special timesand places in our lives are connected with light.
Warm glowing light.
Soft fading light.
Bright shimmering light.
When a bulb burns outIt may be difficult to replacefor several reasons.
1 Not sure how.
2 Hard to access.
3 Not sure where to buy a replacement bulb.
There are a few simple steps to make sure you change it safely.
Good Even BetterUn-Plug the Lamp Turn OFF the circuit breaker
Replacements can usually be foundAt your nearest home ImprovementCenter.
Before attempting to change a bulb Make Sure your footing is secureespecially if you haveTo use a ladder
Three Important considerations: 1. Correct Wattage
2. Correct Voltage
3. Correct Base Size
The Ratings on the replacement Bulb should match the labels On your lamp.
Remove the bulb carefully turning it Counter Clockwise.
Oooops, NOW What ?
Using a needle nosepliers, remove the glasstube and any sharp glass shards. Bend anedge down and then twist the base in the Counter clockwise direction
Once the new bulb is Installed and your tools are put away, you canre energize the circuit andturn the light back on
Sometimes projectsthat seem too big andscary get put off, but ifyou just get started, youwill find that its not thatbad after all.
Few things look worse than a burnt out light
The effort to keep your lighting maintained is well worth it.
