The iTunes Application
Make sure your computer has the iTunes application
If it does, open the application If it does not, you can
download it via internet or through the CD-ROM that comes with the purchase of an iPod
Open the application window

Open your iTunes application
The window should appear like the picture to the right.
Get prepared to import your CD
The CD
Pick out the CD you want to import onto iTunes.
Make sure that the CD is one that you will listen to frequently and that you like. This way you can save space on your iTunes and computer.
Make sure the disc is clean, no smudges or scratchesA cleaner disc will make for clearer music: fewer skips.
Insert the disc into the disc tray and close.Wait for your computer and iTunes to recognize it
CD Recognition
Recognizing the CD
When your CD loads, a box will show up asking you if you want to import the CD. Click Yes or No. If you click yes, your
computer may not have recognized the CD due to lack of internet connection or an unrecognizable CD (mix CD)
If you click no, you can make sure all the songs upload onto iTunes correctly, alter song titles/artists/albums (depending if it is a mix CD)
To be safe, click No.
Importing the CD
Once you have the song titles/artist/album information set and correct, you can now import the CD.
Make sure the screen is set on the page with the new CD info.
At the bottom right corner of the page, click the button that says ‘Import CD’
Finishing the Import
Once the import starts, the progress of the CD’s import will show in the top center space of iTunes (where the current song playing information shows)
When the CD is done importing, a little tone will ring indication the finish. There will also be small green
checkmarks next to the songs imported.
Eject your CD. Put it away in a CD case to
prevent damage to the CD. Enjoy your music!
