Jane has painted over 20 works from the summit of the ANZAC Bridge whilst under construction.

She is fascinated and repelled by the scenes of urban change and destruction. Jane experiences greatfrustration at painting to an unknown but inevitable time limit as buildings are demolished as fast asshe can paint them. Part of the attraction of such places is their poignant impermanence. She seeks topaint the landscape forever poised at the moment of transition - at the first bite of the bulldozer - at thepoint of maximum contrast between past and future.

One of her 'Closing the Gap' paintings from the Mitchell Library collection will be featured in theforthcoming exhibition ONE hundred, to celebrate their centenary.

Jane's work is represented in Artbank; the Mitchell Library; many Regional Gallery & CouncilCollections; Department of Defence; University of N.S.W.; University of Sydney.
