The name of this magazine is OK and even though there is two images covering the name of the magazine you can still tell and see clearly that it OK magazine.

The barcode tends to be down the bottom of the page and out

of the way, just like this one. The barcode sometimes have the

date of the day of publish along the top and the volume of the

issue.

The front cover of OK is full of feature stories as it is a gossip magazine and informs people of gossip that goes on in celebrity lives. Features stories are a good way of giving the people that pick up the magazine a little taster of what is to come in the magazine this means that people may pick up the magazine and buy it.

The cover line on magazines tend to be the main story in the magazine, on this magazine it is ‘Mila Delieveryroom drama!’ ‘Delievery room drama’ is in big capital letters and in yellow writing, this adds an effect to the front of the magazine making people pick it up and read it, it also makes people want to know what the drama was that she was having in the delivery room.

This OK cover does have one main image which is Mila Kunis and it does take up most of the cover, however there are lots of other little photos that cover the front cover which does take the main essence away from Mila however the magazine can have main stories but it has a lot of ‘gossip’ that people want to know.

On the front cover Mila Kuniswas the main focus again on the contents page is Mila.

The use of colour on the contents page is lots of pinks and whites and blacks, which gives a very simple tone to the page, there is not many other colours apart from those three, there is only two uses of yellow.

The font size on this page is very similar throughout the full page of the contents. A

few subheadings are in capital letters and in a bigger

font that the information underneath.

The use of colour is well used in the contents page, the

page numbers being in pink makes them stand out the

page numbers are also not in order which does add a good

and interesting affect to the page.

The contents are in straight columns and are laid out quite simply making it easy to read.

Down the bottom of the page it also says ‘also in this issue’

which is also in the pink and black colours, it tells you more about what is in the issue that

is not a main pointer.

The font on the contents page looks as though it differs, the subheadings are bold and quite simplistic however underneath where the snippet of information is given it looks more fancy and not as simple as the subheading. Some of the words are in bold which drags attention to the certain words.

The contents page does have a very simple layout, it is not confusing to anyone reading it the colours are simple and there are certain things on the page that catch your eye which is the aim of the magazine to get people to want to buy it.

It is clear to the reader what wason the cover and what is the mainstory for the magazine for that

week. It is in bold letters and it stands out which would help certain people that were looking for her story in the magazine the large ’34’ would help people out a lot.

The only photo that is on the contents page is still Mila

Kunis meaning that OK magazine have got an article

on her in the magazine and she is the feature of that weeks

magazine. The photo is very simple showing her happy and by the photo you can tell

that she is pregnant which is the main story feature, so the picture links well with the story line.

This double paged spread is half about Mila and half about other celebrities that are expecting children soon. There isn’t much that is wrote about Mila considering she was front page however people still want to know what had happento her and what

the gossip was.

The use of colouris still rather girl-y with the pinks and the purples, and the yellows.

It fits in well with its target audiences Because OK know that women read this magazine and not men so they have fitted their stories around the audience of the reader.

The cover line for this story is ‘Hollywood BABY BOOM’ The white writing and the colourful background really adds affect to the main title of the page.

The use of photos work really well with the double page spread, they are well set out and even though there are six photos the double page spread still works.

The use of font is nearly all the samethroughout the double paged spread. There are a few certain words that are in bold lettering which adds a dramatic affect to the page.

It says on the top of the first page

‘OK! Cover Story’ so it informs the reader that this

page is links to the cover. If they were

interested in the cover stories that

this page is the cover story in more

detail.Not all the photos

on this page are fancy and where

the celebrities do not look their best the photo of Mila

Kunis when she was just wearing a vest top, however

there is a photo of Hayden P, where she is on the red carpet.

The use of space on the page is very good. The photo of Mila takes up a lot of space and it does not have a lot of information but the purpose of the magazine is to inform the reader about gossip in the celebrity world.
