My music magazine has been made to represent

teenage ‘hard-core’, alternative music fans. I have

represented them by using bands that they would

listen to and having my feature article on a guy that fits

into the genre/stereotype.

I have represented them in a stereotypical dominant

ideology, that is; having tattoos, looking angry, long hair, being

guy based, certain clothing, and being ‘rebellious’ and rough.

The images I have used in my music magazine follow the

dominant ideology as they are all of guys, have long

hair, stretched ears, piercings, tattoos, wear certain clothing. I

decided to use them as I wanted other people of the same

stereotype to relate and feel comfortable reading the magazine.
