Main image:• Matt is looking at the camera. - By doing this potential buyers are able to identify with Matt as this is his first album.• A medium-shot shows Matt is causally dressed wearing a jacket. - This could reinforce his ‘chilled out’ character.

Typography:Matt Cardle (artist)

When We Collide (album)

• Two different types of typography is used. - Matt Cardle , this font could be seen as a signature, he’s establishing himself after winning. - When We Collide, is easy to read and buyers are able to easily identify the name of the album.

Colours: • The black and white colour scheme, allows ‘The X Factor’ winners logo to stand out. - This is important as he's new this is how potential buyers are to identify him.

LETTERS (album)• The typography is simple. - This could relate to Matt’s simplicity and again his ‘relaxed’ personality. • The font used is also easy to read. - This is useful as potential buyers are able to read the wording clearly.

Colours: • The colour used is fairly dull. - One colour could suggest he’s feeling one mood throughout the 13 songs featured on this CD.

• Both the typography for the artist and album name are easy to read. - This is useful as potential buyers are able to read the wording clearly.• Simple fonts and one colour create an identity as the same font is used on her advert.• The font stands out and is clear.

Colours: • The golden colour in the font and ‘dotted light effect’ relate to the album name.• The use of only two colours – black and gold, allow the Ellie and the typography to stand out as the cover doesn’t look overcrowded.

Magazine AdvertisingUse of colours:- Gold.- White.- Black.The use of the black as her top is seen as a background colour which allows the gold writing (name of artist and album name) and the writing in white (reviews and record label) to stand out

Font:- Font is clear/easy to read (artist/album name and reviews)- Likely to attract females, suggesting this album is focused on attracting females rather than males.

The name of the album is Lights:- This is reinforced with the golden dots placed on her hair and slightly behind her.

Image of artist:- Same image used on her CD cover. This creates an identity.-She is looking away from the camera. - The close up allows potential buyers to identify with her.

Reviews:-Reviews from trusted newspapers and magazines allow potential buyers to believe she is talented and persuades them to buy the album. - The stars and comments are almost like a reassurance before people for the album.

Image of artist:- The image is slightly faded.- The image is a close up of Ed Sheeran’s (artist) face.- He is looking directly at the camera. - The close up, and the fact that he is looking directly at the camera allows potential buyers to identify the artist.

The name of the album is :- This may look plain and simple, however, it stands out and potential buyers are to easily remember this because of its simplicity.

iTunes logo:- This stands out clearly as the black contrast with the orange. - The iTunes logo signifies, the producers are taking into account the changes in how people consume music electronically instead of buying CD’s.

Font:- Font is clear/easy to read.

Place of wording:-The wordings are in line and placed one after the other. - This makes it easy to read, and ensures everything is read.- The word click is underlined, this suggesting it is easy to be downloaded on iTunes.
