Media Technologies I have used within my Research and Planning

stage:

SlideShare

I used Slide Share throughout my Research and Planning stage. I used it to showcase what types of ICT I will be using throughout the making of my trailer and my ancillary tasks. I believe that SlideShare is one of the most effective ways to present my work as it is effective, and simple to use.

Prezi

I have used Prezi to explain the similarities and differences between existing media products, I have also used it to analyise different genres of trailers and there posters, and explained what types of shots they have used.

YouTubeI have used YouTube the most throughout my

research and planning as I have been researching into different kinds of genres. This was also when I decided I wanted to create a horror trailer, as I felt it was easier to do compared to action trailers and comedy trailers. This is because I found that the conventions of the horror genre are a lot easier to follow.

Taxedo

I have used Taxedo to portray what the most common words that describe a typical horror film are. I feel that this was a good way to show what is more prominent and I feel it is an effective way to show what I mean.

CameraI used a camera throughout my research and

planning posts. I used a camera to take pictures of my storyboards and I also used the camera to take pictures for my character proflies. For this I used the school camera as all the pictures I took where taken inside school. I have also used the school camera to take the auditions that I held for my trailer.

Photoshop

I have used Photoshop in my research and planning to create my character analysis. I tried to make the character analysis represent what I have written about the character within their backstory. I feel that I have done this quite well, and I believe that my character analysis are effective.

GoogleGoogle has been incredibly helpful to me within

my research and planning stage. It has allowed me to research what magazines and posters look like without me having to go out and buy one. Through media I have also found a lot of my inspiration for the making of my magazine cover and my poster. Without Google I don’t think that my final products would look as professional as they do.
