Pink which her real name is Alecia Beth Moore was

born 8th September 1979.

Her father played guitar and

sang songs this was an inspiration to P!nk at a young age.

Before exploring music she was an gymnast for eight years, when she was younger

it was her dream to be a Olympic gymnast

When growing up she didn’t have the greatest time growing up as she

described her household as WW2 which led to her parents getting an divorce was P!nk was the age of eight.

Whilst in middle school she took up music and joined her first bad called Middle but it

broke up after losing an battle of an bands competition.

When she was 14 she starting performing at her local clubs under the stage name ‘Pink’ At the age of 14 she

auditioned for an all girl

band called Instinct where she earn an place.

Instinct disbanded and she made an girl group

with two other girls which was named ‘Choice’ which were an RnB group at the age of 16.

They were spotted by record label producer LA Reid which

For her first album her image isn't as established

through this album cover. This maybe because this

was her fist album and they didn't want stereotype

her into on practical genre. Her album cover is quite

bare and this links to her bare body. But the may

thing that stands out is her pink hair which has grown

to be an signature to pink. From looking at this

album cover I think its show her as quite minimalistic

but then as quite edgy and controversial because

of the pink hair which stand out and is the focus of

attention also because of the stylish sunglasses she is

wearing.

Furthermore for her fist album cover I think they are trying to portray her an

modern representation as she looks strong and out there. Also in this album cover

they are trying to portray her as an sex object due to the nudity also due to the

pout of the lips which is rather sexual and forward.

Looking at this album its much earlier of her style and who she is

trying to target. From the mise en scene and the graffiti writing we

see her image is coming across as this rebellious rock chic which is

still being girly, When looking at this I see she is trying to target

younger people this is through her style also the graffiti and slang

words. This is an change and more elaborate than her first album

which was much more basic.

In this album we see her looking more sexual with her close up of her

licking her lips. Because of the styling of her costume and the black and

white this seems more grown up and mature compared to her previous

album as its stripped of the pop pink colour and seems this would portray

to an older audience compared to the earlier album. Also in this album

she seems to be steering away from pop rnb and it seem this album is

challenging pop rock which is an different direction for pink.

Even throughout her career she still portrayed as an sex object as she

is still displaying not many clothes on her album covers. When looking

at this cover I feel she is trying to portray that she has matured but she

still has an wild side and is still young this is relating to the drop of the

toy horse and the name of her album funhouse.

Her last album cover compared to her earlier one really shows the

transition of her styling but also her style of music and who she is

appealing too. This album cover looks rather mature and doesn’t have

the set genre look of pop rnb or rock. Her album cover is more stripped

back and looks like it would appeal to an older audience. A thing that

has not changed throughout her album cover as she is still portrayed as

an sexual object and styled more edgy and a bit wild compared to

conventional pop female artists.

On her website pages she is shown to be much more mature and

stripped back this could be to relate to her artists as her website is an

way to show the real her with information for her fans. Her website shows

her looking more mature as the website is minimalistic but still has a

strong focus on pink iconic pink hair and also the nudity is still showing

her an a sex object along with her baring all like artists do on their

websites to give exclusive information to their fans.
