Screen Shots

We like this opening shot as it shows the title clearly with a simple backdrop in white basic font.

We like the idea of dark lighting as it adds a sense of emotion and fives a dramatic feel, displaying the genre to the audience.

We really like the idea of close ups displaying only part of the character, again revealing emotion.

We also like the idea of having the character/s narrating over the short film, allowing the audience to grasp the story form the characters point of view.

Also another Irish Film, directed by the same director as “Undressing My Mother” by Ken Wardrop.

Funding in terms of funding this short film was also funded by the production company Venom.

Awards won best documentary short in 2007, at Toronto worldwide film festival.

Aspects of the film- really simple shots, mainly camera stays on the two females talking, however there are short shots of props such as the cigarettes, and the Ashtray. Even though it is shot very simply the story never becomes boring and keeps the audience interested.

We really like this opening shot of a pan, displaying the title of the short film, in a clear white font. It displays to the audience its purpose, however not identifying the genre of the film in anyway.
