UpstateShows.com is not only a booking agency,
venues, or sold out shows…
We are a…
MUSIC CULTURE.
(given our bubble may be exclusive to Upstate New York)
Right around here
We have venues of all sizes and for unique purposes.
We know what artists Syracuse live music fans
want to dance to.
Whether it be jam bands,
hip-hop, country, funk, or EDM…
We know how to throw a party.
So what’s the problem?
We’ve become…1) Complacent2) Repetitive/ Boring 3) Disjointed
Really? How So?
In the little ways…1) Social Media lacks creativity and
innovation.2) There is little to no community
engagement (besides the shows themselves, of course).
3) As a result, music fans are unaware of shows or the connection between the several venues in our localized area – information is circulated through word of mouth, or by being on Facebook at the right time.
But do not fret!
I have an idea.
Three of them, in fact…
Regular genre-specific commercials
highlighting the shows coming to our venues
in the upcoming season.

How does this help?1) Commercials generate hype for upcoming shows,
people will talk more.2) They also generate the general knowledge of
upcoming shows, people will buy more advanced tickets.
3) Further, it showcases past show experiences, creating a following of fans from people whom have never been to an UpstateShows.com show before.
A collection of venue-focused posters.
How do these help?1) Creates a unification of the venues under one
name – UpstateShows.com.2) Knowledge is power, and if the community
knows that the people who book the Westcott shows also book shows at the F Shed and the Lost Horizon, they will be more inclined to check these lesser known venues out.
We are family…
A community-based blog; “Your Upstate
New York Memories.”
What http://upstateshows.tumblr.com/
will include:
1) Articles2) Tumblr-esque images/gifs created from images
taken at UpstateShows.com shows3) Weekly Podcasts 4) Community-focused conversations about recently
passed and upcoming shows5) Venue/Video/Show Advertisements + Contests
Now, go check the Tumblr out for more examples and the overall framework of
our blogs amazing potential!
Now let’s get started…
